From Miyake Island to the World. The Journey of an Entrepreneurial Chef with Over 30 Restaurants.
Mr. Ushigome was born in 1984 on Miyake Island, Tokyo. At the age of 20, he traveled to Australia on a working holiday visa, where he discovered the joy of bringing happiness to people through cooking. He gained experience specializing in Japanese cuisine, such as sushi and tempura, and was involved in launching more than 30 restaurants as a business development manager. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he developed a hybrid model combining food delivery and dine-in service and rolled it out nationwide. Guided by the belief that "Japanese food culture should be shared with the world," he is currently dedicated to the growth of Halal Wagyu Ramen Shinjuku-tei.
