[Hanaten] serves very delicious rich ramen (noodles in soup), such as favorite [Sesame Miso Ramen] where sesame and our original blended miso paste are added in a white chicken bone soup. The savory taste of matured miso is very addictive. We also recommend [Tsukemen (cold noodles accompanied by a sesame miso dipping soup)]. Our other specialty is [Tonkotsu (pork bone) Ramen] where several kinds of pork bones are slowly boiled for 24 hours for the soup to realize its rich mild taste. It is as tasty as [Sesame Miso Ramen] which is the NO.1 popular. 6. Chinese Restaurant Ryukaso

We choose the most delectable vegetables of the season with large-sized shrimp and scallops, prepared simply with a seasoning of salt to bring out their natural flavors. The key to unlocking the savory deliciousness of fresh seafood cooking is in the ingredients. We select the largest whiteleg shrimp and other seafood possible, and we always buy local scallops and other shellfish domestically if we can. We prepare our meals with the freshest ingredients possible, too. Our kitchen is an open concept, and if you take a seat at the counter you can talk with us. [HELLO KITTY SMILE PARTY Balcony] is a place to enjoy high tea of mainly desserts made with Awaji Island ingredients, while surrounded by Hello Kitty. It is an Asian-style cafe located within [HELLO KITTY SMILE] complex, which was opened in order to communicate the appeal of Awaji Island through Hello Kitty widely. It offers three Hong Kong British-style high tea courses with a choice of drinks from English tea, Chinese tea, Japanese tea, coffee and more. The Chinese flowering tea [Jasmine Dress], with Jasmine flowers that open up when hot water is poured in, is popular. This is a wonderful place where you can immerse yourself in the world of Hello Kitty in a luxurious space, whether inside or on the terrace, with unobstructed views of the Seto Inland Sea (Seto Naikai).

8. Yakitori Style Izakaya Torikkusu

Yakitori Style Izakaya Torikkusu cuisine

From his experience as a wandering gourmand in his youth, our chef has made "Negi Massugu" (Onion Straight-shot), which consists of two skewers weighing in at over 75 grams. He wanted to "have people eat a skewer bigger than anywhere else." All jumbo yakitori (grilled selections of poultry neck, chicken meatball, and pope's nose) are priced the same. The arrangement is from the old sauce of a famous shop he trained at before opening his own in 2009. A whole chicken is simmered slowly over twelve hours and finished off with Hiroshima's Miyajima soy sauce. The eight-salt blend, which was made especially in consideration of poultry, is the jewel in our crown. Though we can't do a five-star hotel reception here, we won't be beaten when it comes to a place where you, the customer, can relax. If you keep the conversation coming, we'll be happy, too. Refills of cola and ginger ale are free on weekdays. Also, if you register for the shop's mailing list, refills of oolong tea are also free, so try it out. 9. La Fontaine

Located inside an inn in Arima Onsen called "Kosenkaku", this restaurant that was designed to look like a lodge in a nature-lush setting offers a warm and friendly wooden space that's perfect for unwinding and enjoying a nice meal. Their delicious and satisfying course meals, made by the skilled chef, consist of things like Kobe beef, teppanyaki of carefully selected Kuroge Wagyu, and dishes packed full of seasonal ingredients. Those coming for lunch can dip into their indoor hot spring that takes its water straight from the source. The restaurant also offers to pick them up from Arima-Onsen Station or the bus stop for free. It's the perfect chance to fully enjoy Arima Onsen!

Using plenty of fresh conger eel, our dish, ana-ju, is grilled thoroughly without losing its moisture, and so allows you to savor the innate deliciousness of the ingredients. Please relish the softly-cooked meat and the specially-prepared sauce. Iejima has long been active in its fishing industry. Seafood caught locally is kept live at the kitchen and left to swim: the boast of this restaurant is seafood cuisine that brings out the ingredient's freshness. Enjoy our innovative and creative evolutional skewers at [Xsis Kushi]. The name of the restaurant means [fusion of Japanese, Italian, and French cuisines] and [Creativity]. We offer course meals such as Omakase course (chef's recommendation course) which you can decide when to stop anytime you want, and banquet courses to enjoy from appetizers to desserts. We use refreshing and healthy rice oil to deep-fry the ingredients, and butter made with bread crumbs mixed with sakura shrimp, spicy rice cracker, and herb, etc. depending on the ingredient. [NISHITANI] is a restaurant that serves [Yakuzen Nabe] (medicinal hot pot dishes) with carefully selected meats and vegetables. Five-star lamb, Takara pork procured directly from a contracted farm in Kagoshima and Waton Mochi pork from Hyogo are served in a special dashi (broth) made with 10 types of medicinal herbs. It is an extremely healthy dish with plenty of Kawachi vegetables delivered directly from a contracted farm in Osaka. The [Lemon Shabu-shabu] (sliced meat parboiled with vegetables with thinly sliced Lemon from Setouchi) is popular for its refreshing flavors. It can be ordered as a la carte, but it is recommended to order as a course menu so that you can sample a variety of other dishes as well. They have an all-you-can-drink option so it's perfect for banquets and other gatherings. The whole restaurant can be booked for parties of up to 36 people. This is a restaurant that is appropriate for a variety of different occasions.

In this Mexican bistro, you can sense the affection of the staff towards Mexico everywhere. Our colorful and fun interior bistro has a very lively atmosphere. Our bistro is always filled with the laughing voices of the guests. Our specialty is [Kaitendori (roast chicken)] where the whole chicken is roasted on a rotisserie. Its refreshing and juicy taste without extra fat makes it very popular. Our tacos shell and salsa sauce are all home-made. Also, enjoy just-baked tortilla made with a machine purchased in Mexico by our owner. Our bistro is located under a railway viaduct, a 3-minute walk from JR Fukushima Station. Our large space consists of the 1st and 2nd floors, which can accommodate groups. Mexican items such as a hat (sombrero) are decorated in our bistro, and livery Latin music will heat up the atmosphere.

21. Izakaya Tsunofuri

This old-established izakaya (Japanese pub) is in a convenient location, 1 minute by foot from Kintetsu Nara Station. Our restaurant, with its flowing stream and sophisticated modern-Japanese space, was fully renovated in July 2011, to create a more convenient space with all private rooms, so that our guests could relax and fully enjoy our popular creative Japanese cuisine made with seasonal local ingredients from Nara. These ingredients are cooked in various ways by the first-rate French and Italian chefs in our kitchen. Also enjoy a very wide variety of alcohol, including rare seasonal local sake (Japanese alcohol) from small breweries in Nara prefecture, plum wines from all over Japan, and various shochu (Japanese liquor). In a large 3-story space created in front of Nara Station, our restaurant consists of various Japanese-modern rooms to relax comfortably, such as large and small-sized private rooms and a grand ball room. With almost 40 years of training at a butcher shop, our well-experienced owner/chef prepares sirloin, tenderloin, and chuck steaks right in front of the customer. For example, our signature Special Selection Sirloin Steak features an extra thick cut of meat that is freshly prepared right at the counter. Furthermore, we only source A5 grade virgin Japanese Black (high-quality Japanese beef) at Sumibi Yakiniku And Steak Banka. We purchase entire body of A5 grade virgin Japanese Black so customers can enjoy hard-to-find selections of beef that are always freshly cut to order by our owner/chef. In order to give our customers the tasty experience of delicious freshly prepared meat, we wait until we've gotten an order, cut up the meat at the counter, and bring it directly to the customer’s table. Just as we are proud to offer freshly prepared meat, we also offer fresh made-to-order salads. We always do our best to keep our customers from waiting, and with jazz playing in the background, you can truly relax at our restaurant.

HAMAYAKI TARO Yamato-yagi Branch is popular for its warm, welcoming and lively atmosphere. The biggest appeal of the place is that the food is cooked by the customers themselves. Here, you can not only enjoy the process of cooking but can cook the food exactly as you like. The courses all come with a 2-hour all-you-can-drink option and are perfect for parties or nights out with friends. The entire restaurant can be rented out for parties of 40 or more guests.
