Mr. Matsumoto lovingly works on seasonal ingredients and creates delicious food that resonates with both body and soul in his work.
Mr. Matsumoto was born in Gunma Prefecture in 1987. Chef at Hibiya Palace. As a child, when he cooked for his grandparents and heard them say, "That's delicious," he was deeply moved by the power of food and decided to become a professional chef. After graduating from culinary school, he joined a wedding venue in his hometown, where he honed a wide range of culinary skills with a focus on French cuisine. He subsequently gained experience at renowned Italian restaurants in Tokyo and wedding venues in Karuizawa, where he also served as head chef. In 2018, he joined his current restaurant, where he has been working ever since. Every day, he pours his heart into serving dishes brimming with seasonal flair in this urban oasis.
