This innovation led to the popular "Yamakake Soba," where leftover grated wild yam was added to the soba, creating a delicious combination.

Toukarou is a Chinese restaurant inside Yumoto Fujiya Hotel. It has a stylish interior with some private rooms, and is appropriate for a variety of different occasions. It is highly rated for its dishes that are made with plenty of fresh seafood, cooked in a style with European influences. The most recommended menu items are the [Sweet and Sour Pork] and [Shiba Shrimps in Chili Sauce]. Be sure to visit to experience the flavors of a first-rate Chinese restaurant here! 14. Yamahiko Zushi

Yamahiko Zushi is famous for its local fish, selected by a fishmonger with a 70-year history. The head chef has been making sushi for 35 years. All the ingredients are fantastic, but the nigiri sushi (hand-formed sushi) that uses local fish caught just that morning is outstanding! In addition, the lunch-only [Kaisen-don] (rice bowl dish of seafood) is a must-try. The [Grilled Tuna Collar] that is slowly cooked at 180°C is also recommended. The restaurant is also particular about its sake, and offers 11 different brands that go perfectly with the fresh, local fish procured from around the country, including [Ryu] and [Tanzawasan].
